Certified Athletic Therapists are best known for their quick-thinking on-field emergency care and are experts at injury assessment and rehabilitation.
It’s that same mix of on-site care and active rehabilitation skills that makes Athletic Therapists so effective in treating the musculoskeletal (muscles, bones, and joints) injuries of all Canadians, whether on the field or in the clinic.
Athletic therapists treat a wide range of patients, from kids with concussions to seniors recovering from hip replacement surgery, using various manual therapies, modalities, exercise prescription and even bracing and taping. Treatment is individualized for each patient, but always has the same objective. Allowing our clients to return to their day to day activities whether that’s playing a competitive sport they love or walking to the kitchen and back.
Nicole, Certified Athletic Therapist
Nicole graduated from the University of Winnipeg in 2018 with a BA in Kinesiology, specializing in Athletic Therapy. Later that year she passed her certification exam to become a certified athletic therapist. She has completed post graduate education in KT taping and FMS and looks forward to completing more.
When Nicole isn’t busy at the clinic, she spends her time working with different sports teams including hockey, football, wrestling and rugby. She has worked with patients as young as 7, to elite hockey players, to the aging population.
Nicole enjoys helping people get back to doing the activities they love. Growing up as a competitive athlete she had her fair share of injuries that she used an athletic therapist to get back to the sports she loves. Since then she has wanted to help everyone else get back to doing what they love.
