Athletic Therapy

Certified Athletic Therapists are best known for their quick-thinking on-field emergency care and are experts at injury assessment and rehabilitation.

Athletic therapists are health care professionals who can commonly be seen working in a clinical and/or field setting. In the clinic, athletic therapists can be seen taking care of both athletes and non-athletes suffering from acute or chronic injuries. On the field, athletic therapists act as first responders providing on field assessments and first aid for the athletes of the teams they are covering.

“I believe that it is important for everyone to know that athletic therapy is for everyone and my personal philosophy is that no matter if you are an athlete or a non-athlete, I want to help make you the best version of your physical self.”

Amberly Weibe, Athletic Therapist

Amberly is a BKin-AT CAT(C) who graduated from the University of Manitoba in June 2022 and certified as an Athletic Therapist in July 2022.

Amberly is very excited to begin offering clinic hours at Sweaty Training and Conditioning. Growing up, she played many different sports including basketball, volleyball softball, and badminton and was a part of the running team. Amberly always found biology and the human body fascinating, and Athletic therapy offered a chance to combine those two interests together and thus far, it has been a rewarding and fun job. When she is not at the clinic, or on the field, she enjoys hiking, being at the lake house, and travelling. Her personal philosophy regarding athletic therapy is that no matter if you are an athlete or a non-athlete, an Athletic Therapist can help make you the best version of your physical self.
